"The executives who transform their organisations first transform how they see themselves."

— Opening note from the coaching practice of Growth Vision Exec, South Australia

Dossier entry 01 — the premise

Executive coaching built for the decisions that keep you awake

Most leaders reach a point where competence alone stops being enough. The technical skills that carried them through middle management become blunt instruments at the executive level, where ambiguity is the norm and every decision ripples through hundreds of people. Growth Vision Exec exists for that exact inflection point.

We do not offer motivational sessions or personality quizzes dressed up as insight. Our executive coaching practice is grounded in behavioural science, strategic thinking frameworks, and over a decade of working alongside C-suite leaders, board directors, and senior public-sector executives across Australia. Every engagement begins with a single question: what outcome would justify the time you invest here?

Dossier entry 02 — proof in practice

What shifts when coaching works

We measure change in behaviour, not satisfaction surveys. Below are three snapshots from recent engagements — names altered, outcomes verified.

"Within four months my leadership team went from avoiding conflict to running structured debates that halved our decision cycle. The board noticed before I told them."

— Chief operating officer, national logistics firm

"I came in thinking I needed to fix my communication style. What I actually needed was to stop solving problems that belonged to my direct reports. Revenue in my division grew 18% that year."

— General manager, health-tech scale-up

"The readiness diagnostic alone was worth the first session. It showed me I was spending 70% of my energy on work that didn't move the organisation forward."

— Deputy secretary, state government department

Dossier entry 03 — the framework

Four lenses we coach through

Rather than a rigid programme, we apply four diagnostic lenses that adapt to where you are and what your organisation needs. Every coaching arc draws from at least two of these lenses simultaneously.

Strategic clarity

Separating signal from noise. We help you identify the three to five decisions that will define your next eighteen months — and let go of the rest. This lens uses scenario planning, priority mapping, and stakeholder-impact modelling.

Relational authority

Influence without coercion. We work on how you build trust, navigate political landscapes, and hold difficult conversations that strengthen rather than fracture relationships across your executive team and board.

Adaptive resilience

Sustaining performance under pressure. This lens addresses energy management, cognitive load, and the emotional discipline required to lead through uncertainty without burning out or burning bridges.

Organisational leverage

Multiplying your impact through systems. We examine how your leadership habits shape culture, how your calendar reflects your real priorities, and where structural changes would free you to focus on what only you can do.

Executive coaching is not therapy, mentoring, or consulting — it is a disciplined practice of strategic self-examination

Every engagement at Growth Vision Exec is designed around your real operating context. We work with your calendar, your stakeholders, your board dynamics. The result is not abstract self-awareness — it is measurable behavioural change that your colleagues can see and your organisation can feel.

Dossier entry 04 — the arc

How a coaching engagement unfolds

There is no fixed number of sessions. Some leaders need a concentrated six-week sprint before a board presentation. Others commit to a twelve-month arc that reshapes how they lead. Here is the typical rhythm:

Readiness diagnostic

A 90-minute structured conversation that maps your current leadership landscape — where you spend energy, where friction lives, what success looks like in concrete terms. You leave with a written diagnostic summary.

Lens selection and goal anchoring

Based on the diagnostic, we agree which lenses to prioritise and define two to three observable outcomes. These become the anchor for every session that follows.

Fortnightly deep sessions

Each session is 75 minutes, structured around a real challenge you are facing that fortnight. We do not rehearse hypotheticals. You bring the live situation; we work it together using the selected frameworks.

Mid-point recalibration

Halfway through the engagement, we revisit the diagnostic. What has shifted? What new patterns have emerged? We adjust the lens emphasis and, if needed, redefine the outcome anchors.

Integration and handover

The final phase focuses on embedding new habits without ongoing coaching support. You receive a personal leadership operating manual — a concise document capturing the frameworks, decisions, and practices that now define how you lead.

Dossier entry 05 — fit check

Is this the right engagement for you?

Executive coaching is a significant commitment of time, honesty, and focus. It works best when certain conditions are present. Use this table to assess your readiness before reaching out.

Strong fitWeaker fit
You hold a role where your decisions directly affect organisational direction You are looking for skills training rather than leadership development
You can commit to fortnightly sessions for at least eight weeks Your schedule cannot accommodate protected reflection time
You are willing to examine your own behaviour, not just your team's You want someone to validate decisions you have already made
You have a specific leadership challenge or transition ahead You are seeking general career advice or job-search support

A note on confidentiality: Everything discussed in coaching remains between us unless you explicitly authorise otherwise. We do not report to your board, your HR team, or your sponsor. This boundary is non-negotiable and is the foundation of the trust that makes coaching effective.

Dossier entry 06 — editorial note

Why we do not publish pricing on this page

Every engagement is scoped individually. A six-session sprint for a first-time CEO costs differently from a twelve-month arc with a deputy secretary navigating machinery-of-government change. Publishing a standard rate would either undervalue the depth of work or create a barrier that prevents the right conversation from starting.

When you reach out, we will discuss scope, duration, and investment openly in the first conversation. There is no obligation, no sales funnel, and no follow-up pressure. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you — and, where possible, refer you to someone who is.

Dossier entry 07 — questions we hear

Common questions

How is executive coaching different from business consulting?
A consultant analyses your organisation and recommends solutions. A coach works with you — the leader — to develop the thinking patterns, relational skills, and strategic discipline that let you find and implement solutions yourself. We do not write reports or deliver slide decks. We build your capacity to lead more effectively.
Can coaching be funded by my organisation?
Yes. Many of our clients have their coaching sponsored by their employer as part of a leadership development investment. We can provide a scoping document and expected-outcomes summary to support an internal business case. Some government departments and large corporates have existing coaching budgets that cover this directly.
Do you coach teams as well as individuals?
Our primary practice is one-on-one executive coaching. However, we occasionally facilitate leadership-team alignment sessions when a client's individual coaching reveals systemic team dynamics that need addressing. These are scoped separately and always begin with individual diagnostic conversations with each team member.
What happens if I need to pause or end the engagement early?
Life and leadership are unpredictable. You can pause an engagement with two weeks' notice and resume within six months without repeating the diagnostic phase. If you choose to end early, we will conduct a shortened integration session to capture what you have learned so the investment is not lost.

Dossier entry 09 — working principles

What we commit to in every engagement

These are not marketing statements. They are operational commitments that govern how we work with every client.

  • Radical candour: We will tell you what we observe, even when it is uncomfortable. You are paying for honesty, not agreement.
  • Evidence over intuition: Every framework we use has a research base. We will share the evidence if you ask.
  • Outcome accountability: If we are not making progress toward the agreed outcomes, we will name it and adjust — or recommend ending the engagement.
  • No dependency: The goal is always to make the coaching unnecessary. We build your internal capacity, not reliance on an external voice.

Dossier entry 10 — context

About the practice

Growth Vision Exec operates from South Australia and works with leaders across the country, both in person and via secure video. Our coaching methodology draws on cognitive behavioural approaches, adaptive leadership theory, and systems thinking — integrated into a practical framework that respects how busy executives actually work.

We are deliberately small. We take on a limited number of clients at any time to ensure depth of attention. If our current capacity is full, we will let you know and offer to place you on a priority waitlist or refer you to a trusted colleague.
